About – Beyond the Gradebook

It’s nice to meet you! My name is Sarah and I’m the human behind this website. I’m a teacher, blogger, resource creator, reader and world traveler. This is a space for me to share my love of teaching and fun ideas from my own classroom. I hope you find some helpful tips while you’re here!

Classroom Experience

I’ve had over ten years of public education experience (grades 3-5) in the United States and one year of international experience teaching in Beijing, China (grade 1). Upper elementary is my favorite place to be. I am a former Virginia teacher, now located in Florida teaching fifth grade!

Since 2012, I have been the teacher author behind the resources at Beyond the Gradebook on TeachersPayTeachers. My resources are made first for my classroom, and perfected for your classroom. It is my goal to make resources that allow teachers to easily enrich their instruction.
